This page, like the other parts of the site gets a bit of a make over from time to time. Any time I go to someone’s website, the page that tells me about them is one of the first places I visit. With that in mind, I want to make sure that this little area goes some way to introducing myself and the stuff that I do.
Although the seeds of interest in photography were planted early on, it has only been relatively recently, I’d say in the last six years, that I’ve become an active user of the camera.
I enjoy a mix of digital and analogue photographs but lately I have been leaning more towards analogue and alternative development. I like to think each has it’s own use, depending on the project and the end game.
My interest in photography as a standalone way to capture a moment and photography as an art form are much the same for me. People have different ways of using the camera and I’m fascinated by perspective and approach – in fact if anyone ever wants to talk about their photography experiences, I’d be more than happy to chat / listen to what you have to say.
I’m interested in hearing about what photography is to people, how it can be used and the cross over between artistic mediums.
A current project looks at alternative / sustainable development, such as using things like instant coffee and plant life to develop film. If this is something you’ve tried, I’d be interested to hear more.
I like the idea of collaborating with others, bringing together regardless of the medium.
I do have some other projects on the go that kind of tie into camera use, things like the puppet noir linked above how images can be converted into sound.
Thanks for reading and if you want to chat, please say hello and tell me what you’re working on.
